Incident – 5 persons in the water, Blyth beach.
Outcome – The lifeboat was launched following a 999 call to Humber Coastguard reporting 1 person in the water, upon arrival on the scene the lifeboat discovered a total of 5 persons in the water attempting to effect a rescue. The lifeboat assisted the 5 people to shore and awaited the arrival of land units from Blyth Coastguard Mobile Unit, Tynemouth Volunteer Life BrigadeNorth East Ambulance Service. All 5 persons were taken  from the scene to hospital by North East Ambulance Service.
