Incident – Blyth’s inshore lifeboat was launched by Humber Coastguard at the request of Northumbria Police who had recieved reports of a person in distress on the Dunn Cow Quay, Port of Blyth.

The lifeboat proceeded to the scene approximatly 1/2 a mile up river from Blyth Lifeboat Station and found the casualty holding onto a ladder, up to their waist in water.

The lifeboat crew recovered the casualty from the water and returned to Blyth Lifeboat Station where they were met by officers from Northumbria Police & North East Ambulance Service

The lifeboat was then recovered and made ready for service again.
