Incident – Humber Coastgurad requested the immediate launch of Blyth’s inshore lifeboat following a report that a small motor boat with two persons onboard appeared to be having engine difficulty and drifting towards the beach in the north end of Blyth Bay.
The lifeboat was launched at 12:35 and arrived on scene at 12:37. After checking that the two persons onboard were safe and well the lifeboat assisted them to the shore and landed the boat where it was met by Newbiggin Coastguard Mobile unit.
The lifeboat then returned to station and was made ready for service again by 13:05
