The Annual General Meeting of the RNLI Blyth Lifeboat Station and the Ladies Guild was held in the Watch House, North Gate, Blyth Harbour at 7.00 pm 25th April 2012.
John Scott the Lifeboat Operations Manager in his report said that the RNLI Blyth Lifeboat ‘Jennie B’ had during the year ended 31st December 2011 been called out by the HM Coastguard on 29 occasions. He also reported on Lifeboat Crew training during the year, which included, attending national courses for Helmsman, Competent Crew. He also hoped that members were interested in seeing the start of the shore works for the new Lifeboat House.
The Station Treasurer in his report reviewed the financial position of the Station and in particular he stated that the Ladies Guild and the Station had raised and received donations during the year ended 31st December 2011 totalling £15,126.30
The RNLI Blyth Lifeboat Station Chairman in his report summing up the year’s activities thanked everyone for the hard work in raising the funds and praised the crew for their dedicated service of saving lives at sea.
